The global financial crisis which was triggered by the US subprime loan problem has had serious effects on East Asian Economy. Because of the decrease of exports, the real economic growth rates of East Asian countries have been dropping rapidly. In such a situation, will the East Asian economy be able to recover from the crisis and will the economic integration be promoted? In this symposium, let us analyze the economic integration and the financial crisis theoretically and empirically.
